What is the market economy?
The market economy is that economic system in which the control and influence of the market are defined through the law of supply and demand.
Within this type of economy, the state intervenes slightly by establishing legal laws of regulation and security in order to maintain order, free competition and there is a balance in the general economy of the country.
For producers to be able to obtain benefits in the market, they must use the price system and both adapt their supply to demand and make decisions regarding investment, production, savings and consumption.
In the market economy there is a strong presence of the law of supply and demand and a low intervention of the state.

Disadvantages
The market economy can have some disadvantages:
- Usually leaving the less favored sectors at a disadvantage, thus being less equitable than other economies.
- Its focus is not the human being but the optimization of profit.
- Only those markets that have a great investment capital.
- If there is no correct state legal participation, imperfectly competitive markets may arise.
