The first thing, before proceeding to determine the meaning of the term acupuncture, is that we establish its etymological origin. In this sense, we would have to say that it is a word that emanates from Latin because it is the result of the union of two Latin words:
\u2022 \u201cAcus\u201d, which is synonymous with needle.
\u2022 \u201cPunctura\u201d, which is made up of two parts: \u201cpunctus\u201d, which is the participle of the verb \u201cpungere\u201d (to puncture), and the suffix \u201c\u2013ura\u201d, which indicates activity.<\/p>\n

Acupuncture<\/strong> is a technique<\/strong> therapy that develops from needles<\/strong> that are nailed in certain points of the Body<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\"Acupuncture\"Acupuncture is part of the Chinese traditional medicine<\/strong>. Its objective is to restore the Health<\/strong> of the patient through the insertion and manipulation of needles in the human body. Due to the lack of scientific evidence to prove its effectiveness, acupuncture is often included within the group of alternative medicines.<\/p>\n

It should be noted, however, that the acupuncture points<\/strong> (that is, the points of the body where the needles are inserted) are standardized by the World Health Organization<\/strong> (who<\/strong>). This entity recognizes acupuncture as an effective means of treating several dozen diseases<\/strong> Y disorders<\/strong>. The UNESCO<\/strong>, for his part, has declared acupuncture and moxibustion<\/strong> (which uses pressed roots of a plant) as part of the Cultural heritage of Humanity<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Currently, acupuncture has acquired an important relevance all over the world and that is because thanks to it it is possible to benefit from a significant number of advantages, among which the following stand out:
\u2022 It is a great treatment to put an end to stress problems or anxiety disorders.
\u2022 Get relief and reduce pain suffered by certain people. By this we mean headaches, migraines, sprains, arthritis, sprained joints, back problems ...
\u2022 No less valuable is establishing that acupuncture has also become a great alternative when it comes to achieving faster recovery from any ailment.
\u2022 This ancient technique also helps improve blood circulation.
\u2022 It is also used by many people who want to lose weight.
\u2022 Likewise, in recent years the number of individuals who have opted for this treatment in order to quit the harmful habit of smoking has grown.
\u2022 Putting an end to insomnia problems is another of the important goals that acupuncture achieves.<\/p>\n

Eastern philosophy considers the human being<\/strong> as a whole, where its components are interrelated. Vital energy or qi<\/strong> travels the body through meridians or channels known as king<\/strong>. Traditional acupuncture holds that there are 361 points<\/strong> in the twelve meridians of the body on which you can act. By inserting a needle into a specific point on the meridian, acupuncture balances the energy of the organ that governs that meridian.<\/p>\n

Acupuncture, therefore, stimulates or drives a depression in the points<\/strong> to rebalance the Energy<\/strong> of the body, since diseases are considered to be, in this sense, an imbalance of qi.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n
