Social<\/b>, for its part, is an adjective that refers to what is linked to society<\/strong>. This last term (society), on the other hand, refers to the set of people who share a culture<\/strong> and other traits and that interact within a community.<\/p>\n

The notion of social care<\/strong>, therefore, it is associated with a service<\/strong> that lends itself to solving problems of various kinds and improve living conditions<\/strong> of people.<\/p>\n

As in any community there are inequalities, social assistance is directed to the most disadvantaged. His work is oriented so that all individuals can meet your basic needs<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Typically, social assistance is developed through institutions of the Condition<\/strong> or from non-governmental organizations (NGO<\/strong>). The benefits included in the concept can be very varied and include from educational support to the provision of a home, through the delivery of food or medicine.<\/p>\n

Sometimes it is the person who needs help who approaches an entity dedicated to social assistance and asks for what they need. At other times, welfare organizations move to the specific place where people in need are. Even social assistance can be developed in a concentrated way in the face of a catastrophe<\/strong>, such as a flood or an earthquake.<\/p>\n

\"SocialDepending on the country, the concept of social assistance presents clear differences with that of social Security<\/b>, a scheme based on the contribution of its members, since it is a scheme that is financed from the tribute of the national population. A clear example of this is found in the Scandinavian countries; there, the population<\/b> Senior citizens were the first to enjoy its benefits, which soon reached those who suffered from some disability or illness, and those who did not have a job or home.<\/p>\n

Broadly speaking, it is possible to find the following characteristics in the social assistance service:<\/p>\n
